Research networks, collaborations around the globe and intensive cooperation with the scientific community provide an exchange of scientific information on the highest level. Bayer’s scientists, too, are involved in numerous and varied cooperation projects around the world. After all, professional dialog and broad-based access to knowledge are important preconditions for innovation.

Cooperations with universities and research institutes
Bayer maintains a global network of numerous cooperation and sponsorship projects with research centers. For example, the recently inaugurated CAT Catalytic Center Aachen in Germany, in which Bayer MaterialScience and Bayer Technology Services have invested more than €7 million. Scientists from Bayer HealthCare, for example, are collaborating with researchers at Stanford University’s Clark Center to develop new tumor diagnosis methods. Scientists from Bayer CropScience and Bayer HealthCare are working together with the Chemical Genomic Center (CGC) to search for novel lead structures for active ingredients in medicine and crop protection.

The photostory gives an insight into Bayer’s multifaceted research collaborations around the world.
